Equally important, I am grateful that I can physically do it and can afford it, as it takes stamina, some level of skill, and a decent chunk of money. I'd rank this as one of my top three favorites by the author. Helen's, the Earth colony recently cut off from the mother planet, yet not so very different from home. Gabriel Sullivan—alpha mercenary, smuggler, and rogue—is supposed to be dead. I really liked the concept of waking up 340 years later and finding you have been deified. But beware - this is a book you should only read if you have a soft spot for sometimes sappy romance too.
Overall this is a very enjoyable book with likeable characters, exciting action scenes and some sweet moments in-between. I gave it 98 pages till the end of Chapter Seven before pulling out. But that made me question whether she should hold off and stabilize before jumping into a relationship if she couldn't reconcile her feelings within what would amount to less than three minutes of conversation that turned to conflict in each of these cases. There was a lot to like in Accidental Goddess. I went more often; I took more lessons; I got better.
